What will the first day be like?
We will go through a series of simple fitness tests to establish a base line of your fitness.
Some of the exercises will be:
Push ups, Sit ups, sit and reach and a timed run/walk.
We will re run the test on the last day of camp to determine your progress.
Where is the camp located?
We will be meeting at Cavitt Middle School in Granite Bay, CA. Near the tennis courts.
Will this be a military style “boot camp” with someone yelling at me?
There will be NO YELLING! This is NOT a Boot Camp.
I do not like being yelled at and I am sure you don’t either!
I will be acting as your coach to help you improve your strength, agility, speed, athletic ability and overall confidence.
I strive to be the best coach I can be, and YOUR fitness success is my indicator of that goal.
Fit Camp is “Practice for whatever life throws at you!”
What do I need to bring to Fit Camp?
You will need to have a light weight yoga type exercise mat for abs.
A set of 5, 8, or 10 pound dumb bells. I will always have a few extra weights on hand.
You will also want to bring water to keep yourself hydrated during camp. Optional items are a towel to dry off with and gloves or mittens in the winter. Please dress in layers...even if it is chilly, you will get warm very fast!
PLEASE WEAR RUNNING SHOES, Not walking or everyday tennis shoes.
You will need a pair of good shoes to perform at your best.
Please make sure they are broken in before camp begins, you do not need blisters your first day! Contact Fleet Feet in Roseville for assistance with running shoes.
Be sure to ask about the Trail Training discount on your purchase.

What type of people sign up for Trail Trainings Fit Camp?
They are people who enjoy the outdoors and are tired of the same old gym scene. Someone who needs a little push to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Although some exercise experience is needed to ensure your safety and a better flow of class. All levels are welcome.
What if I sign up for the three-day a week plan and then want to increase my sesions to 4 days?
This actually happens often when a person signs up for 3 days a week, they begin to see results and they want to come 4 days a week!
You will simply be prorated from the date you decide to join us for all the sessions.
Will I experience any soreness after each workout?
The first 2-3 days you may feel mild to moderate soreness. As you improve, so will your recovery ability. If you have any concerns please inform Shelly immediately.
How long is each session?
Each session is 60-90 minutes long from start to finish, depending on which camp you choose. We will start on time and end on time everyday. If you are late to Fit Camp you will need to catch up with the group.
Do we still workout if it rains?
We workout rain or shine unless you hear differently from Shelly the night prior to workout.
The weather in the area is RARELY bad enough to cancel workout.
What type of exercises will we be doing at Fit camp?
Everyday will be a new type of workout! Variety is the key to fitness progress!
Exercises will include:
- Jump Rope

What if I miss a session?
Each camp is a pre determined number of sessions. We are committing our time to the camp schedule, the only make up sessions are those needed due to severe weather that causes a session cancellation.
Is there a refund policy?
If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to your session start date however we will charge a $50.00 cancellation fee. If we are notified after your camp begins, we can only give you a credit towards another fit camp. This credit is nontransferable and expires six months form the date of issuance. There is no cash refund. This is not negotiable.
There is an optional bike ride on the Saturday morning following the conclusion of each camp; you will receive more information about this in your welcome packet.
